CHOOSE PRAISE

There are many seasons in life.
    A time for mourning and tears.
    A time for joy and laughter.
    A time for peace.
    A time for chaos and order.
    A time for death ... and life.
    A time for .... so many seasons.
There is ALWAYS time for PRAISE.

No matter what season we are in, God is still the same. He never changes, even when our season is changing all around us.

Life hands us good and bad things. Sometimes it's hard and full of challenges. Even then it's time for praise.

Sometimes life is going smoothly and things seem to fall into place. It's easy to praise Him during those times, although we forget to remember to do it in the easier seasons. It's usually during those times that we need to remember to praise Him for the goodness of who he is and what he has done in our lives.

The seasons of hardship, chaos and grief it's much harder to praise God. In our humanness, we focus on the challenges more than the One who is worthy of praise.

It's in the tough seasons that we need to be much more intentional in acknowledging the truth that God is still good. He is still who he says he is.

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
I will be found by you,” says the Lord.
Jeremiah 29:11-14

He still has good plans for us. He still has our best interests in mind.
He is still faithful.
                just.
                gracious.
                peace.
                powerful.
                full of mercy.
                the Judge.
                love - unconditional love.
Everything in Him is good. He is ALL that we NEED.

He sees all that we experience. He is in it all - even when it doesn't feel like it.

Even when it's hard and doesn't feel like God can be in it, can we bring him into it? Can we invite him into the challenging season?

We can invite Him in with praise and worship.

He wants to be in it with us. It's his desire to have us partner with him in the hard. It takes intentionality to do this. Just like we are intiontional with taking someone's hand - it takes movement - we need to be purposeful in taking Jesus' hand and praising him.

Praise the LORD.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heaven!
Praise him for his mighty works;
praise his unequaled greatness!
Praise him with a blast of the rams horn;
praise him with the lyre and harp!
Praise him with the tambourine and dancing;
praise him with strings and flutes!
Praise him with a clash of cymbals;
praise him with loud clanging cymbals.
Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord!
Praise the LORD.
Psalm 150

Choose praise.
